Travel Details: Your adventure begins with a comfortable transfer from your Marsa Alam hotel to Hamata Marina. From there, you'll board a spacious boat for a scenic cruise to the islands. Departures are typically in the morning to ensure optimal conditions for exploration.
Island Exploration & Snorkeling Sites: Your boat will take you to two different stops within the Hamata National Park. Enjoy snorkeling in crystal-clear waters amidst vibrant coral gardens and an abundance of colorful fish. Keep an eye out for graceful sea turtles and, if lucky, you might even spot dolphins in the open sea, often referred to as 'Dolphin House'. Reach the first Hamata island area. Don your provided snorkeling gear and plunge into the crystal-clear waters to explore vibrant coral gardens and colorful fish. The Hamata Islands (also known as Qulaan Islands) are a stunning marine protected area located approximately 100-120 km south of Marsa Alam. This pristine national park comprises a cluster of untouched islands and coral reefs, boasting some of the Red Sea's most vibrant ecosystems. It is part of the Wadi El Gemal National Park, renowned for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and thriving marine life, including dolphins and various species of sea turtles.
Climate: Marsa Alam and the Hamata region enjoy year-round warm, sunny weather. Water temperatures are ideal for snorkeling and diving, ranging from 22-30°C (72-86°F). The best seasons for comfortable trips are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November).
Distance from Marsa Alam: Transfers to Hamata Marina from Marsa Alam hotels vary depending on location, typically around 1-1.5 hours drive. The boat trip to the islands takes an additional 1-1.5 hours each way.

Dolphin Magic at Hamata!
